I love the mountains.
The beach is lovely, of course, and big cities are fun to explore.
But my soul thrives in the mountains.
That’s why, in spite of the fact that I am a Texan, my Cork Creek Village mysteries are set in Colorado. The Rocky Mountains have been a vacation destination for my family since I was a child, and I have often dreamed of living there. Now, through my characters, I can transport myself to the mountains every day.
In the real world, I live in a Dallas high rise with my husband of thirty five years. We have two grown daughters and a four-year-old grandson who delights and entertains us.
I am a retired educator, having spent twenty four years as a high school journalism teacher and six years as a professional school counselor. Through these jobs, I have met some amazing people, both colleagues and students, and I am grateful for those years.
Now I have the opportunity to embark on a new journey, one I have always wanted to pursue. So far, it’s been challenging, frustrating, exciting, and so rewarding. I look forward to see where it takes me, and I thank you for joining me.
